[Nagiosplug-help] Help installing on osx

Please forgive my ignorance, but how would I go about patching with this
file?

I've included a set of patches for MacOSX - I think the one you need is the
ranlib command in the makefile.
Give this a try first then we'll see what the openssl error is.
